Prediction market paper trading simulator

Paper Trade Prediction Market Strategies

Test strategies with live market data and simulated trades. Define your rules, track results and evaluate your approach before switching to live execution.

Simulated trading. No real orders are placed while paper trading.

Test Your Strategy Before Going Live

1

Choose Your Markets

Select from PolyTrader's supported Polymarket short-interval markets and pick which ones your strategy should monitor.

2

Set Your Rules

Configure entry price and timing, stop-loss, take-profit, a timed exit and position size — the exact rules your bot follows.

3

Run in Simulation

Start the bot in paper mode and watch it respond to live market data with simulated fills — no real orders are placed.

See Your Strategy in Action

Monitor simulated entries and exits while your strategy responds to live market conditions.

Everything You Need to Test an Idea

Live Market Data

A paper-trading bot watches the same live Polymarket order book and price feed as a live bot, so simulated entries and exits reflect real market conditions.

Simulated Orders

Paper mode fills against the live reference price without ever sending an order to Polymarket — you can evaluate a strategy with no funds at risk.

Entry & Exit Rules

Set an entry price threshold, entry timing window and optional momentum filters that decide exactly when your bot opens a position.

Risk Controls

Configure stop-loss, take-profit and a timed exit before the market resolves, independently for every bot you run.

P&L Tracking

Review entries, exits and realized P&L for every simulated trade, with paper and live results always kept separate.

Multiple Markets

Run independent bots across different markets, each with its own position size, entry rules and risk settings.

Test Across Short-Interval Markets

Test how a strategy behaves across fast-moving Polymarket prediction markets — BTC, ETH, SOL, XRP and DOGE, in 5-minute and 15-minute windows. Configure independent rules for each market and compare simulated results before deciding whether a strategy is ready for live execution.

Paper Trading vs. Live Execution

Paper

Paper Trading

  • Simulated orders
  • No real funds at risk
  • Test strategy logic
  • Review simulated P&L
  • Adjust rules and parameters
Live

Live Execution

  • Real orders
  • Real funds at risk
  • Executes your configured strategy
  • Requires deliberate activation by you
Paper trading results are simulated and do not guarantee future live trading performance.

From Strategy Idea to Tested Bot

  1. Choose market
  2. Configure strategy
  3. Start paper trading
  4. Review entries and exits
  5. Analyze simulated P&L
  6. Refine parameters
  7. Decide whether to enable live execution

Live execution is an optional step you enable yourself, after testing — never a default.

Paper Trading FAQ

What is prediction market paper trading?

Paper trading lets you test a strategy on prediction markets using simulated orders instead of real-money orders. Your bot runs the same entry, exit and risk logic it would live, but no funds are ever committed.

Does paper trading use real market data?

Yes. A paper-trading bot watches the same live Polymarket order book and price feed used by live execution. Only the fill is simulated — the entries and exits it decides on are still driven by real market conditions.

Are real funds used?

No. While a bot is running in paper mode, PolyTrader never sends an order to Polymarket — each simulated trade is filled locally against the live reference price instead.

Can I track simulated P&L?

Yes. Every simulated entry and exit is recorded, and your dashboard shows realized P&L for paper trades separately from live trades.

Can I switch from paper trading to live execution?

Yes, but it's a deliberate step, not a default. Live execution requires a Pro plan, verified Polymarket credentials, and an explicit confirmation before a bot is allowed to place real orders.

Does successful paper trading guarantee live results?

No. Simulated performance does not guarantee future live trading performance. Live markets involve real funds and real order execution, which can behave differently from simulation.

Test Your Strategy Before Going Live

Configure your rules, run simulated trades and see how your strategy behaves under real market conditions.

No real orders while paper trading.

Trading involves risk. Paper trading uses simulated orders and no real funds at risk; live trading executes the rules you configure with real funds and can lose money. Simulated results do not guarantee future performance.
